We Help for a Cause

Welcome to the 2025-2026 School Year!

​

The Parent-Teacher Organization of Sonoran Trails Middle School (STMS) is comprised of parents, community members, and staff who collaborate to provide students with additional enrichment opportunities beyond their existing curriculum. Everyone who has a child at STMS is automatically a member of the PTO.

 

The PTO bridges the annual funding gap of hundreds of thousands of dollars that is not allocated to schools, teachers, and families due to the service area's median income. STMS PTO fundraising is crucial to many programs that students love and look forward to, providing additional financial support for technology, books, landscaping, equipment, and more. 

 

The PTO Board meets monthly to discuss all matters of PTO business. Parents are welcome and encouraged to attend any Board meeting. PTO meetings are generally held on the second Friday of each month. If you plan to attend, please send us a note so we can tell you the meeting location.

The PTO is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization.

 

In this time of 'state educational budget reductions', schools have had to do with less. This is why the PTO provides funds to give students the best possible education through enrichment programs and services.

PTOGOALS

2025-26

This coming school year, our fundraising efforts will be dedicated to significantly enhancing the safety and security of our campus. We plan to invest in crucial upgrades, including the installation of state-of-the-art security cameras to monitor key areas and ensure a swift response in case of emergencies. Additionally, we will be adding mirrored windows to improve visibility and deter potential threats, while also reinforcing all entry points with robust locks on doors and fences. These improvements are essential for creating a secure environment where students and staff can focus on learning and growth without concerns about safety. 

Your support and contributions will be instrumental in achieving these vital upgrades and ensuring a safe, secure school environment for everyone.
